We discuss Marx’s theory of value and extend it on its frontiers, that is, into questions Marx and Marxist economists touched upon but did not fully integrate in the framework of value theory. We develop a large empirical model of labor values, Marxist production prices and market prices, to investigate unequal exchange through international value transfers, ground rent and its impact on ecological breakdown, and more.
